One for Sorrow
She came into my life like water in a submarine;
For I thought my heart was impenetrable and that I could not love,
Oh but I loved her:
My Magpie singing softly to herself in the rain,
Collecting wedding rings with delicate wings.
And she loved me:
But not for who I was but for whom she needed,
And her love was that of a Mother to her Child,
Shining like the Sun in the Desert.
And for a while we flew like that in clear blue skies,
But the winds picked up as the storm came,
And it raged and raged - until finally; both weary and tired:
The sky was no more.
