Oh faith is a funny thing,
For I always had an aversion to mass and organised religion,
But in life when everything ripped away from under my feet,
With friendships that were forever cloaked in deceit,
When I lost my way and was subsequently betrayed by shadows cloaked in red and not in bright emerald green,
‘Twas then on a summers morning in a chapel teary eyed I began to cry,
For to read my confession to a weary priest who assured me I was certainly no beast,
And from that very day since I started to pray,
Everything began to go my way.
As if by magic.
