Aengus and Caer

Her Egyptian eyes and sad Irish smile
And her red full lips and mouth so fine
Her heart so pure and her radiant touch
With a love so raw and tolerant
And the way she gave thanks and said hello
For the smallest of things I can never forget
Her body and mind were shaped by the Gods
A birthmark only known to Ireland
Oh the way she stepped out from her blue car door
With bread, milk and honey, and other sweet things
And if she did see herself through my tired blue eyes
Maybe she could have cast off her wayward disguise
So I pray that she will now find peace and love
With some other man not full of demands
And of all of the women left in the world
Well none can ever compare to her
So now I am left to roam across Irish lands
With songs, drink and false commands
And I like Aengus left searching for his Swan
Who has long since spread her wings and gone
