The narrative has suddenly changed from the UK Labour government who now recognize that levels of immigration in recent years have indeed been problematic and strewn with illegalities. So much so that the only way to address the issue is via the introduction of mandatory digital identification for each citizen in the UK who works and pays taxes. Or to put in other words, for those who wish to eke out a living and eat, sleep, shit, piss or breathe. Yes, enter the Digital ID Card and on 26th of September the Neo-Marxist British PM Keir Starmer officially unveiled the raison d'être to his adoring masses. Fortunately enough and to put it bluntly nobody in their right mind appears to be buying the idea. Worse still the debacle is supported whole-heartedly by none other than war criminal Tony Blair who has been trying to implement such a scheme for decades. Blair states, ‘that the Digital ID will allow our interactions with the state to be faster, cheaper and more reliable and allows us to judge who has a right to be in the country thereby solving one of the main problems of immigration.’ In reality such a scheme can only serve to further isolate those from different cultures and drive illegal immigrants and black markets further underground, thereby increasing class disparity, poverty and criminal enterprise.

Indeed the introduction of Digital ID is just another step in the process of creating a Nanny state whereby the freedom of the individual is stifled and the masses are controlled, monitored and coddled. It is a stepping stone to an authoritarian state whereby compliance of the masses to the whims of state takes precedence and reigns supreme. The Digital ID card also creates the vehicle whereby monies may be deducted automatically from personal accounts due to the most innocuous of infringements, including but not limited to traffic laws, civil debts such as student loans, carbon emissions etc. It also appears to force all individuals to comply to the usage of Smart Phones or other gadgets and thereby merges the interests of private enterprise with the state. This is a road we simply cannot go down.

The kickback is so extreme that even the Stormont Executive in the occupied 6 counties are all in direct opposition to it and singing from the same hymn sheet. DUP are against it for being invasive while encroaching on privacy and freedoms. While Sinn Féin see it as breaking contract with the Good Friday Agreement with Britain forcefully imposing British problems and identity onto Irish citizens. Moreover by initially and haphazardly referring to scheme as the ‘Brit Card’, no doubt to appease and bring Tommy Robinson and his kind on board, the British establishment can expect nothing less than vehement opposition from Irish nationalists and republicans in the North of Ireland.

In conclusion we may hope that the opposition to the Stalinist utopia of Starmer and Blair is so great that the Irish government in the 26 counties quickly rejects the idea and with it any inclination of introducing such a scheme here, for if they do make no mistake it will be a hill that many a man and woman would surely die on.
